The New York Transhumanist Party

Founded in 03/2022

The NYTP is the extension of the United States Transhumanist Party into the state of New York. Containing members all over the state the NYTP takes a "big tent" approach to encompass Transhumanists from most ideologies and given the subsequent diverse membership of the party, it naturally opts to take a democratic approach regarding internal affairs, established values, the use of resources, and other party affairs.

In order to avoid the issues suffered by political parties who only participate in electoral politics, the NYTP seeks to also engage in forms of direct non-violent politics such as creating or contributing to mutual aid networks, supporting local struggles against evictions, encampment sweeps, etc, in a grand attempt to drive change rooted in the community rather than the halls of government.

The overall goal of the NYTP itself is to act as a hub for transhumanist politics within the state of NY, share information, opinions, or ideas, facilitate cooperation between transhumanists and other ideologies or political organizations, and work to build a broader transhumanistic movement that will bring a beneficial future for all people.
